We created a powerful, cinematic film forDudley Council’s Social CareRecruitment campaign. Our goal was to showcase real-life perspectives within the social care sector to create a film that portrayed the significance of this essential field of work and diversity of roles available.
Our Concept
Our concept involved weaving together the stories of four characters, each representing a different role in social care at distinct life stages. By using match cuts, wipe transitions, and an overlapping script, we seamlessly transitioned between these narratives, emphasising the shared goal of providing compassionate care to those in need.
The production process involved extensive research and collaboration with Dudley Council’s social care teams. We researched the different roles of Home Care Worker, Care Home Manager, Support Worker and Social Care Assistant, to gain an understanding of how each role can be empowering, as these individuals are making such a difference in people’s lives. This formed the foundation for developing authentic and relatable narratives for each of the roles shown in the advert.
The advert’s powerful storytelling and emotional resonance effectively conveyed the rewarding nature of social care work, whilst highlighting the dedication, empathy and resilience required to work in the sector.
The advert reached over 60,000 people in the Dudley area and it was linked to a photography campaign, which went out on billboards throughout the area, extending the reach.
