We partnered with King Edward VI Foundation Birmingham to create a full suite of school promotional videos that highlight the strengths, facilities and character of each school while strengthening the foundation’s overall brand. The project covered 16 promotional films and 2 TV ads now running across web, social and Sky AdSmart.
We visited 14 different schools, filming students in lessons, sports, drama, cooking, tech spaces and more to show the range of facilities and courses available.
Our Producer coordinated everything directly with each school, building a tight schedule that kept filming as low-disruption as possible.
We kept production efficient with a 2–3 person crew, using dual cameras for coverage, plus lighting support and our drone pilot for nice establishing shots of the different campuses. The team are fantastic at helping the teachers and staff feel at ease when filming, so we can capture genuine, natural moments on camera.
Our Director, Danny, wrote custom scripts for every school, consistent in style and structure, but tailored to the USPs of each site. He sat down with us for a behind-the-scenes chat about the full process.
From the extensive footage captured across all the schools, we also produced an overarching foundation film that brings the whole story together. Using the same material, we created an induction film and two TV ads, which are now airing on Sky AdSmart.
The foundation now has a consistent set of films that clearly show what each school offers. The content strengthens their brand and gives them flexible video assets for digital, social and TV use.
