Behind the Scenes:
West Midlands Safari Park Films

Date Published: 11/03/2026

We recently partnered with West Midlands Safari Park to produce a series of videos designed to enhance the experience for guests staying in their safari lodges.

This followed a previous collaboration we worked on with the park alongside Visit Worcestershire.

The idea was to give guests access to exclusive behind-the-scenes information about the animals they can see from their lodges – insights they’d normally only get by speaking directly with a keeper.

We sat down with the lovely Bethan Davis from the West Midlands Safari Park team and our Producer, Georgia, to run through how it all came together.

Building a Custom Set

For the interviews, we created a small set on site rather than using a plain studio backdrop.

Using props and materials from around the park, we built a setting that was in keeping with the safari theme. We filmed the keepers using a multi-camera setup, allowing them to share stories and little-known facts about the animals.

Motion Graphics

Our in-house animation team added motion graphics to bring another layer to the West Midlands Safari Park videos. As the animals appear on screen, graphics introduce their names, dates of birth and additional facts.

The Impact

Each lodge now has a window sticker with a QR code. Guests can scan it to access this behind-the-scenes content and discover even more about the animals around them.

"The feedback for the videos has been absolutely fantastic so far. We can see that the guests are using them and they're engaging with the videos. We've had some feedback on our visitor surveys as well, saying that guests really enjoy the information, it's very informative and really enhances their stay. If someone asked me if they should use Spark as a video production partner, I'd say definitely go for it. You won't be disappointed."
