As part of the ‘Make Worcestershire part of your story’ marketing campaign, we were commissioned to produce a 30-second TV advert. The ad was broadcast on Adsmart from Sky.
We told ‘Lily’s story’, a young girl who embarked on a journey to explore Worcestershire’s hidden gems, inviting viewers to discover the county’s beauty and charm, painting it as a desirable tourist destination for families with children.
The advert was a combination of steady cam, aerial drone shots & hyperlapes to display Worcestershire’s beautiful landscapes and idyllic locations, from Broadway Tower to the historic Worcester Cathedral to West Midlands Safari Park to the Severn Valley Railway steam train.
The concept was to make the advert sound like a child’s story being told by ‘Lily’. The DOP opted to use vintage lenses to give the film a characterful look.
Due to the success of the summer campaign TVC, we were also commissioned to produce a TVC for the winter campaign, which was broadcast on AdSmart from Sky. This time we cast a couple and a family exploring Worcestershire at Christmas. To capture the festive atmosphere, we actually filmed the advert a year before it aired so we could shoot while all the Christmas decorations were in place.
