ANIMATED EXPLAINER VIDEO
Wave Active, formerly Wave Leisure Trust, gave us a brief to create an animated explainer video that introduces their new business strategy ‘Wave Active Health’ to relevant stakeholders. The initiative strives to improve health and wellbeing in the community. They aim to fill the gap between gyms and primary healthcare by providing preventative active lifestyle intervention.
We explored a number of animation and illustration styles and settled on one that really captured a sense of community, creating a world filled with fun, abstract characters that portray a wide range of people of all “shapes and sizes”
Next, our animators presented fully-designed style frames to the client to ensure they were happy with the look and feel of the video and then mapped out the script frame by frame with a creative storyboard to help them visualise how the animation will flow.
Subsequently, we rigged and animated over 43 characters doing a wide range of activities to highlight the various different fitness and health facilities Wave Active offers across Sussex.
