THE BRIEF

Technical Drive, an IT service provider, asked us to create a 30-second TV ad and a 1-minute brand film that would communicate the value of their services.

They wanted something humorous that highlights the risks of operating without IT support, while showing the reassurance and peace of mind their service provides.

OUR SOLUTION

We managed the entire process in-house, from initial concept and casting through to location sourcing, scriptwriting, set design, filming, editing and handling the Clearcast approval and distribution process.

We developed a split-screen concept to show two parallel worlds – one where a business owner has no IT support, is exposed to cyber threats and suffers sleepless nights because of it, and one where they’re backed by Technical Drive, where everything runs smoothly and they can switch off, even relaxing on a beach.

We used colour grading to further separate the two worlds and reinforce the contrast between the chaos of one world and calm of the other.

As part of the process, one of our work experience students also put together a behind-the-scenes reel, documenting the shoot from their perspective on set with Spark.
